My Bio

Hi my name is Marcus, I started this program because I myself struggled with cocaine and alcohol. I started drinking and using just like any other, going out on the weekends partying and having fun.

That's how it started, drinking and using when I was out socialising, but soon it became a problem, I didn't need to be going out to drink and use, it soon became every weekend where I would drink and use cocaine, it was then when fun stopped, it became routine every weekend without fail.

How it started turning out for me was I just sat in my house or in someone else's house drinking and using cocaine to the early hours of the morning, chatting utter bollocks about nothing over and over again.

It soon became unenjoyable where all the cocaine did was make me anxious, paranoid and unable to string a sentence together without stuttering and feeling completely unsure of what I was even saying, but it didn't stop. I continued to drink and use every weekend over years, putting a big strain on my home life, my relationship and my work.

Monday morning after a weekend of drinking and using I was left broken, anxious, short tempered, tired and full of regret where I would struggle through the week, but come the weekend there I was doing it again, continuing to add stress to my life, my mental health, my relationship and my work.

I soon realised that I needed to stop, so I tried and I tried and I tried, but always failed and was back drinking and using on the weekends. It was then I finally admitted to myself that this was an addiction,  an addiction I had to get rid of , it was having such a negative effect on my life, but I kept doing it.

I knew if I didn't stop I would lose everything.

So I reached out and went  into recovery and that was the best decision I ever made in my life.

Whilst I was in recovery, I got to see all the wonderful things come back in to my life and other people's lives. Sitting in a room watching people that struggled just like me get their wives back, their husbands back, their children back and much more, was such a special thing to be a part of. I knew  3 months into recovery that this was going to be a special change in my life, I knew that helping people was a new loved passion of mine and that I was going to make it my mission.

This is why I have created my own drug and alcohol recovery program

Since I left recovery completely free from drinking and taking drugs, I've been educating myself with all the psychology behind addiction and studying to gain certified certificates in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Life Coaching and Neuro Linguistic Programming.

I have created my own strategy that I call the ‘Staged Addiction Approach’ which combines the addictive voice, evidence-based therapies, and compassionate counselling which addresses the physical, emotional, and psychological aspects of addiction.
